Attention all fans of Game of Thrones: a “fully immersive” studio tour is set to open its doors in the UK.
Insiders say it’s similar in style to the Harry Potter studio tour in Watford, and visitors will be able to wander through Dragonstone’s Throne and Map Rooms, Castle Black’s Mess Room, Cersei’s Courtyard in King’s Landing and even Winterfell, reports the MEN.
Fans will need to travel to Banbridge in Northern Ireland to experience it, but it’s already tipped to be worth the trip.
Plans for the Game of Thrones studio tour were revealed last year, but it was only given the go-ahead by authorities at Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council this month – meaning work can now get underway.
The hotly-anticipated attraction will be located at the Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge – fitting, given Northern Ireland is one of the shows filming locations with some of the most memorable scenes filmed at the studios.
Fans will be able to wander authentic sets from the series, and get a close look at costumes and props used in the show.  Guests will also be able to go behind-the-scenes in the makeup and prosthetics department home to the show's graphic special effects.
Visitors will also be able to marvel at the Game of Thrones armoury, featuring the wide range of weapons used by the characters in the show.
There are also plans to replicate a studio catering experience in an in-house restaurant at the site.
No firm date has yet been set for the opening of the new attraction.
It has not been revealed how much tickets are expected to be, but it is promised to be a "deeply immersive and sensory experience".
