Ahead of the Labor Day weekend crowds, lockers have been installed at The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad theater in Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
The lockers are located just above the U•Rest location, where guests may remove their face coverings and relax.
Metal barriers are located several rows away from the lockers, suggesting that it will be separate from the U•Rest zone and that face coverings will be required in the locker area.
We spotted management up there discussing the guest flow of how to get to and from the lockers.
Our speculation is that could be overflow lockers for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, with heavy crowds expected this weekend.
The virtual queue line for the attraction wraps back towards the stadium, which would make it easier for guests to stow their stuff before getting in line.
It would help reduce crowding by the queue entrance, which is a frequent issue at the park. When guests return to get their belongings, they won’t be right in front of the entrance.
The blue barricade marks where it’s expected to be that guests would enter to access the lockers.
These barriers were up nearby, possibly to help manage crowd flow.
